Benefits of Bucket Elevator Tensioning Device

Benefits of  Tensioning Device

There are two types of tensioning device for bucket elevators: screw type and heavy hammer type. The tensioning drum of the belt bucket elevator is generally made into a squirrel-cage shell to prevent the bulk material from sticking to the drum. The bucket elevator can adopt a whole casing, or separate casings for the ascending branch and the descending branch. The latter can prevent air disturbance in the case when the two branches move up and down. A dust collecting flange and a peep hole are arranged on the upper part of the casing. There is a material level indicator at the bottom so that it can automatically alarm when the material is stacked. The belt elevator needs to be equipped with electronic instruments such as anti-skid and anti-deflection monitoring and speed monitor to ensure the normal operation of the bucket elevator.
The principle of the bucket elevator: as shown in the figure, a series of hopper traction components (chains, sprocket) are attached to form a closed contour between the head wheel and the bottom wheel of the elevator. The driving device is connected with the head wheel to enable the bucket elevator to obtain power and drive operation. The tensioning device is connected with the bottom wheel to obtain the necessary initial tension of the traction member to ensure normal operation. The material is fed in from the bottom of the hoist, lifted up to the head through a series of hoppers, and unloaded there, so as to realize the transportation of materials in the vertical direction. The hopper and traction components of the bucket elevator, as well as the head wheel, bottom wheel, etc., are installed in a fully sealed enclosure.

Considering the lifting height and output requirements of this design, this hoist adopts mixed or gravity discharging, pick-up charging, zh-type (medium-deep hopper) hopper, and low-alloy high-strength ring as the traction part. The chain, after proper heat treatment, has high tensile strength and wear resistance, and has a long service life. It uses an assembled sprocket. The wheel body and rim are connected by high-strength bolts. After the sprocket is worn to a certain degree, the bolts can be unscrewed, the rim can be replaced, and the replacement is convenient, and the disassembly is saved, and the maintenance cost is reduced; the lower part adopts the heavy hammer lever type tensioning device, which can realize automatic tensioning. No adjustment is required after one installation, and a constant tension can be maintained to ensure the normal operation of the machine and avoid slippage or chain disconnection.
