The width of the teeth and grooves measured on the index circle.

The pitch diameter is divided by the number of teeth. The pitch diameter is usually specified in inches or millimeters. If it is inches, the modulus is the reciprocal of the pitch diameter.

The small radius that connects the profile of the tooth and the root circle.

Pressure angle
